JAIL INFORMATION
Captain Robert Rumble is the Jail Administrator for the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office. Any questions or concerns should be addressed to him or the Shift Supervisor on duty. The jail can be reached at (229) 336-2030.
COMMISSARY
Inmates purchase items via commissary which is ordered once a week from Keefe Commissary. Inmates who have funds available can purchase up to $80 per week from the commissary. Personal hygiene items are provided to inmates at no charge..
The Mitchell County Justice Center has a kiosk in the lobby for funds to be deposited to an inmate's account. There is also other methods to deposit money in an inmate's account. Inmates can use these funds for both phone and commissary purchases.
FUNERALS
Family members desiring for inmates to attend a funeral must contact the Sheriff's Office. There will be charges for providing this service and it must be approved by the Sheriff. The Sheriff reserves the right to deny any funeral request.

MEDICAL
There is a nurse on site Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The nurse is on-call 24/7. Inmates desiring to see the nurse do so by filling out a medical request. There will be a $5 fee imposed on the inmate's account to help offset this cost.

RELIGIOUS SERVICES
Those inmates desiring to attend religious services are allowed to do so. Bibles are provided to inmates upon request and availability.
VISITATION
At the present time, there is no on-site visitation. The Michell County Justice Center has a remote video visitation program. Inmates are allowed unlimited offsite remote video visitations, 7 days per week between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM. ALL VISITORS WILL BE REQUIRED TO REGISTER AND SCHEDULE VISITATIONS. Visitation times will no longer go by last names or inmate status. They will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Only those persons listed on the inmate's visitation list are allowed to visit. Visitation is a privilege and subject to revocation for disciplinary reasons. Any person or inmate violating visitation guidelines will be subject to being banned from visitation.
